I have been using Payoneer for quite some time and thus feel qualified to give an honest opinion regarding the platform. With this Payoneer review, I would like to highlight the pros and cons and summarize my own experience. Seeing as their features, and such information can be accessed on their homepage, I will not cover that information in this review.
Do you use Payoneer or have you used it before?
Please be so kind as to tell us more about your own experience as this would help others to make a more informed decision.
Thank You!

What is Payoneer?
Payoneer is one of the leading global payment companies currently in existence, providing affiliate marketers and independent workers in over 200 countries with cost-effective payment solutions. Cardholders can accept, receive, and withdraw funds without hassle anywhere that accepts MasterCard.
Payoneer Prepaid Debit Cards work just like other debit cards, allowing you to make purchases online, in stores, or withdraw at ATMs anywhere in the world as long as MasterCard is accepted. No bank account or credit history is needed to apply to Payoneer.
Founders and History
Yuval Tal founded Payoneer back in 2005 to provide cost-effective payment solutions, and it has since become one of the world’s leading global payment companies.
What Does it Cost?
There are fees and so forth that will need to be paid, the amount of these fees depends on location, balance, account, currency, and so forth. A full list of these fees and the pricing will be provided during the application. There is no need, however, to maintain a balance with Payoneer, and a card can be canceled at any given time. Personally, I have found their fees to be beyond reasonable compared to my banking fees.
Legit or Scam?
Payoneer offers financial services across the world and they are indeed a legitimate company, here is why. Payoneer has been around for many years, and they have millions of clients who have been making use of their services during these years without a problem. Of course, all companies can hit a snag, but that is what support is for, to help solve any problems that may occur. So taking into consideration the number of clients, the years active, reviews received, and so on, I can honestly say, that yes, they are legitimate. Not once did I experience any trouble with them, money was always paid and available.
What About Support?
Payoneer has articles, an online community, FAQ pages, blogs, and more, as their many ways of providing support for clients who may encounter problems. There are more than 2 million users in the online community, with someone always willing to answer any questions. The blog is active with regular posts about all things Payoneer, plus the articles, FAQ pages, and so forth contain info on all kinds of Payoneer-related topics, providing all the answers one may need.
Who is it Intended For?
With Payoneer, vendors, publishers, freelancers, affiliates, and so on can receive payments easily and immediately. Usually, in these circumstances, affiliates and so forth are paid through checks, international wire transfers, PayPal, and so on, all of which require recipients to have a bank account, not to mention payments/transfers can take days or even weeks. Payoneer cuts all this out, with quick payments/transfers that are usually accessible within 24 hours.
This payment processor works perfectly for anyone tired of having to wait days, even weeks for their hard-earned money.
Payoneer is an efficient, safe, cost-saving solution and the perfect replacement for a web-based business that calls for affiliate payments.
The payment processor is great for vendors and affiliates but works perfectly for anyone who requires a safe online payment system. Everyone is welcome to apply as long as you are over the age of 18.
User Interface and Ease of Use
The platform is beyond easy to navigate with clear buttons that are easy to understand and neatly sorted into categories. There are no lagging or loading up issues and I have found it to be always online whenever I need to log in to do some tasks.
Payoneer Payment Options

My Reasons for Using Payoneer
Safe — It is safe and if your card were to be lost or stolen, then you would receive a replacement card and your balance transferred.
Secure — Payoneer’s technology is constantly being improved to ensure client privacy and authentication. They also comply with all of the applicable online payment regulations.
Currency — There is no need to convert to your local currencies, as MasterCard automatically does the conversion for you at competitive rates.
Flexible — Customizable and scalable options are offered for anyone. They also allow others to load cash onto your card, and they enable people to make fast bank transfers with Global Bank Transfer Service.
Cost-effective — Payoneer has very low monthly fees and allows you to avoid the fees and payments of sending money abroad.
Easy to use — The Payoneer online banking platform is simple to understand and easy to use with few technicalities.
Award-winning — In 2010 at the Pay Before Awards, Payoneer won the ‘Best Business to Employee Payment’ award.
Financially responsible — Due to it being a debit card and not a credit card, you are only able to spend what is actually on the card, allowing people to better manage their budgets and be more financially responsible.
How Long Until You Get the Card?
The estimated arrival date is included in the e-mail which will be sent to you once your application has been approved. For me, it was a 2-week wait after approval before I got my card, but arrival varies depending on location and so forth. Payoneer cards are shipped free of charge with the use of standard international mail services.

Payoneer Review — Pros
- Payoneer can reach countries that a lot of other payment services cannot.
- You can receive payments and transfers from multiple affiliate networks as long as they offer Payoneer as one of their payment methods.
- Payoneer does not require a bank account.
- Though the account is held in US dollars, it automatically converts as soon as purchases or payments are made in other currencies.
- Payza, Moneybookers, PayPal, and so forth can be verified with a Payoneer Card.
- On most days, payments are usually available within 2–6 hours.
- The account page will allow you to check transactions and balances at any given time.
- Withdraw funds to your own bank account.
Cons
- Sometimes Payoneer can have slow days where services, payments, and such can take longer than usual.
- There are a bunch of fees for many different things such as transfer fees, debit card fees, and so forth, which can add up. Very small fees and for me personally not a problem, but still worth mentioning.
Let’s Sum This Up…
Here in South Africa where I live, without an FNB check account, receiving affiliate commissions from other countries is just a fantasy, and getting paid is a true nightmare. However, Payoneer made it a possibility over 12 years ago for me to become an affiliate marketer by providing me with a payment processor that is accepted in most marketplaces such as CJ Affiliate. If it were not for Payoneer, then I wouldn’t be an affiliate marketer today.
For me, I honestly never had any issues or difficulties throughout the years, my payments were always on time, no unnecessary fees were taken and my cash was always available.
I have, however, read about others having some difficulties and/or issues with Payoneer, but I cannot account for them as I have never encountered them myself. What I do know is this, at the time and even now, the risk for me is worth it. I had no way of getting paid, so it was either Payoneer or nothing at all, and I am not the only one. They have opened the door for many an online marketer and they still do, even today. Additionally, they have evolved with the times, upgraded, and improved greatly since way back when. The risks of using them have drastically decreased, and money can now be transferred from Payoneer into your bank account.
This is it then for this Payoneer review. Please do not leave without leaving a comment if indeed you have something valuable to add to this post. It will help others to make a better decision if this is not one-sided.
Thank you and have an awesome day!
